Willow House is a 16 bed home located
in University Park, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.
University Park is a small community, but is located
less than an hour from anything and everything a
big city has to offer. We are minutes away from
a shopping mall, Wal-Mart, Target, and a movie theater.
We enjoy group outings each week, and we take advantage
of many of the fun activities which Chicago has
to offer, including trips to downtown Chicago, visits
to the museums, visits to the zoo, attendance at
baseball and basketball games, and many other exciting
events. We have a library in University Park where
we enjoy free weekly movie rentals and social events.
We have 3 day training programs from which to choose,
allowing specific vocational needs to be met. We
have active advisory council meetings and we always
enjoy the input of guardians, family members and
friends. Our home is located within walking distance
of Burnham House, another 16-bed home, and we always
enjoy visiting our neighbors and joining together
for activities.
