Westlake
Home is a 16 bed home located in Carlyle Illinois.
We all have the pleasure of enjoying Carlyle Lake
which is within walking distance from our back yard.
This large man-made lake is used for fishing, boating,
and swimming. How nice it is to walk with our friends
and supporters to the dock area and watch the sailboats.
Our home sits back off the main roads among wooded
areas and fields. We have a spacious yard for outside
activities, including enjoying our bonfire pit,
sitting at our picnic tables, stargazing, or watching
the many deer which visit our yard. We have a Wal-Mart,
a Dollar General store, and grocery stores for supplies.
There are a variety of restaurants in Carlyle including
fast food and family owned restaurants to suit all
of our tastes. Carlyle offers several parades and
fairs throughout the year which we all like to attend.
Neighboring towns (15-30 minutes away) give us the
use of movie theaters and bowling alleys. We are
approximately an hour and a half’s drive from
St. Louis where we attend the Cardinal games and
musicals at the Muny, an outdoor theater. We always
enjoy visiting the St. Louis zoo, and the Science
Center. Our location offers small town living, a
nice lake for enjoyment, and access to big city
activities: truly the best of both worlds!
