CILA is located in Danville which has a population
of approximately 35,000 residents and offers a variety
of resources for people of all ages. We are just
a short drive from the Devonshire CILA in Danville,
so we enjoy visits with the persons living there.
We also have access to many community agencies within
the area, and we are strong participants with Special
Olympics, Camp New Hope and Ambuc’s. We are
involved with CRIS senior services, and we routinely
enjoy breakfast at their site. Our home is located
just 4 miles from the nearest mall and movie theater,
and we are only 1/2 mile from Super Wal-Mart. Shopping
and eating out at one of our many local restaurants
oftentimes keep us busy. Danville is home to Kennekuk
State Park where we enjoy camping, canoeing, fishing,
walking and just relaxing among the beautiful areas
in the park. Also, Lake Vermillion is just minutes
away, and we always have great times when we are
on their pontoon boats. At home, we have a dog and
birds which give us much pleasure. Some of our evenings
find us going to concerts at the David S. Palmer
Civic Center. Individuals living in our home have
a variety of supported employment opportunities,
and they can also receive day training support through
Crosspoint Human Services. Our country setting and
distinguished landscaping make this a comfortable
home for all who live here, as well as for their
families and friends
