Parkview Home is located at 310 W. Enz Avenue in Cissna Park, IL. 8 women and 8 men live in this home. Cissna Park is a village of 800 people located in a rural community northeast of Champaign-Urbana. A bowling alley, Dairy Queen, convenient store and bank are all located within walking distance. We enjoy frequenting those places, and also going out to eat, shopping, going to movies, playing bingo, playing basketball and swimming. Everyone looks forward to our annual vacation which in the past has included traveling to locations such as Branson, MO, Wisconsin Dells, and Disneyland. We’d love to show you our pictures and tell you about those trips. Every third weekend in August the community hosts the Old Settlers Reunion, which is greatly anticipated by us all. Country Theatre Workshop is located just outside of town which offers opportunities for local individuals to view plays. A new community recreation center is currently being built which will host an indoor swimming pool. The churches in Cissna Park have been wonderful about involving us in their activities and church groups.
Day Service programs are offered through the ARC of Iroquois County or Iroquois Mental Health Center. The ARC of Iroquois County provides services at three different locations, including one in Cissna Park. Iroquois Mental Health Center is located in Watseka. Community transportation is provided through ShowBus for anyone choosing to attend programs in Watseka.
