Welcome to the residential website section of the Alan G. Ryle Companies. Since 1986, our companies have provided homes throughout Illinois for persons living with developmental disabilities.

We are committed to providing homes, and all that living in a home entails. We do not run “facilities” or “residential sites,” but rather we provide genuine homes for the persons who have chosen us to support them. We are truly integrated into our communities, and we place great value in fostering strong community ties. We take advantage of the many parks and recreational activities located close to our homes; we attend festivals and concerts; we enjoy trips to other communities; we take advantage of our local restaurants and shops, and we enjoy holiday celebrations and spending time with our families, friends and loved ones.

The individuals living in our homes are supported by well trained staff who work diligently to ensure not only needs but also wishes and desires are met. Any time persons are in their homes, they always have their direct support staff with them to assist with preparing meals, helping with medications, grooming, room care, shopping, money management, laundry, community outings, and all the other numerous tasks and activities which blend into a rich and rewarding life.

We utilize Health Services Consultants, Inc., for management and consultation. HSC is a leader in the field of long term care and allows us to provide our individuals with the highest caliber of nursing, administration and social service support services. Our individuals receive therapy services from Cobblestone Rehabilitation, Ltd. insuring their physical habilitation and rehabilitation needs are met. Our main focus is upon health and safety, and to that end we not only ensure our direct support staff are trained in CPR and first aid, but we also have nurses available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week to provide immediate assessment, consultation and recommendations regarding any health or medical issue which arise.

In keeping with our Mission Statement, we strive to provide the highest quality of supports to those persons living with developmental disabilities who have chosen us to support them. We believe that each person should be treated with respect and dignity. We ensure individualized goals are set with each person’s input, and we share in the joy and satisfaction of the persons in our homes when they achieve a goal, maintain or improve their health, or simply relate to us the enjoyable time they have had participating in an outing or special event.
